1. The Afterlife
WARNING: STROBE-LIKE EFFECTS COULD CAUSE SEIZURES

afterlife website What not to do: 5 of the ugliest websites in existence

This website really doesn’t make much sense. With an overwhelming amount of gifs and an almost endless scroll (until you get to the guitar playing baby), this website makes you wonder if maybe we should shutoff the internet for a day or two to wipe this site out of existence.

2. Ling’s Cars

ling smile What not to do: 5 of the ugliest websites in existence

Boy does Ling have a deal for you! There’s no way of telling if this site was purposely designed to be… this. Absolutely cluttered with acronyms, memes and gifs of who we assume is Ling, shaking his head at all the crazy savings you’ll get. If you have your sound muted, do yourself favor, turn your audio all the way up and imagine driving home in a brand new Ling Audi.

3. Haiti News Network

haitiannewsnetwork What not to do: 5 of the ugliest websites in existence

We’re getting some breaking news from the Haiti News Network, let’s see what they’re saying… Wait, you mean you can’t seem to figure out where the heck the “News” is? The website is litered in low-quality gifs (notice the trend) and there is a meadow of links associated with basically every other news network out there.

5. COLORADO RANGER HORSE ASSOCIATION

2013 75 years What not to do: 5 of the ugliest websites in existence

The site isn’t bad because it overindulges in .gif usage. The site suffers from legibility and navigational confusion. Some of the images are also have a little too much .jpg. We congratulate them on 75 years of Rangerbreds though.

To be honest, we don’t even know what to say about this one. The screenshot of Arngren.net should do the job for us.
